2018 Conference: Making Future Matters
Sidebar
The twelfth biennial Thomas R. Watson Conference on Rhetoric and Composition was held October 25–27, 2018 at the University of Louisville. The conference invited scholars to explore how work in rhetoric and composition comes to matter — for whom, to what ends, and how that work might direct futures worth making. Presenters engaged questions about knowledge-making practices, material entanglements in research, and the role of the field within shifting educational and public landscapes.
The conference resulted in the edited collection Making Future Matters, published by Utah State University Press in 2018, edited by Rick Wysocki and Mary P. Sheridan.
