Event Details
Join us for an interdisciplinary conversation on US history, public memory, and the politics of remembering and forgetting. UofL faculty will explore significant but often overlooked moments in US history and consider how historical narratives are shaped, remembered, and forgotten. A second roundtable featuring the 2026–27 Bingham Faculty Fellows will examine how their research, creative work, and teaching engage questions of memory studies in our current historical moment. The program concludes with a keynote by historian Tracy Campbell, “A Great Democracy in Action,” drawing on his forthcoming book to explore the history of the United States in the late 1940s.
