During the workshop, we will explore the principles behind data-informed teaching and examine how learning analytics appears within Blackboard Ultra, including key features like performance dashboards, activity data and engagement metrics.

Participants will:

Define key terms and concepts related to learning analytics and their relevance to student success and retention. Navigate the learning analytics features within Blackboard Ultra, including dashboards and student activity data. Explore how foundational analytics can reveal early indicators of student engagement and performance.

The session sets the stage for understanding how classroom-level data can reveal early patterns of student disengagement or struggle, building a shared language and framework for upcoming workshops.
