Film Screening: Portfolios Lloyd Menard

The Hite Institute of Art + Design Schneider Hall Galleries invite you to a free film screening of "Portfolios: Lloyd Menard" a documentary celebrating the legacy of printmaker Lloyd Menard. 

"Portfolios: Lloyd Menard" tells the story about maverick, pioneering artist, Lloyd Menard, Professor Emeritus, University of South Dakota, in Vermillion, SD, who had a significant impact on American art and arts education. Menard founded the University of South Dakota-Vermillion Printmaking Department, and Frogman's Print Workshop.

Filmmaker Susan Goldman will be on hand after the screening to answer questions and discuss the ongoing legacy of Lloyd menard. 

This film screening is being show in conjunction with the exhibition "Ink Networks" on view in the Schneider Hall Galleries between August 20-October 30, 2026.
