UofL’s Tessa Withorn will present a chemistry-related seminar as part of the Chemistry Department’s ongoing Brown & Williamson Seminar Series.
Tessa Withorn is the Science Librarian and an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. As a librarian, instructor, and researcher, she aims to empower STEM students to discover information for themselves, critically evaluate information sources and systems, and navigate the university to promote academic success and lifelong learning. She also supports researchers with data management, telling stories about their research impact, and navigating the scholarly research and publishing landscape. Tessa has published and presented on a variety of Library and Information Science topics including library instruction, critical information literacy, online learning, artificial intelligence, AI literacy, and research support for STEM. She is currently working on a co-edited collection of essays for Critical Perspectives on AI in Librarianship, to be published by Library Juice Press in 2027.
