This session will help you unpack the gap between K-12 students' familiarity with AI tools and their actual critical understanding of them.

Drawing on insights from JCPS and other K-12 implementations, educators will explore what guardrails and assumptions shape how students have used generative AI before college, and what that means for classroom expectations, academic integrity conversations and teaching with (or alongside) AI tools at the university level.
