The primary purposes of this organization shall be to: Promote an understanding and appreciation for the diverse cultures of Latin America and Latino communities in the US, prepare students to become engaged citizens in our global society and more specifically in the Louisville Metro area, provide volunteers for organizations that serve the Latino community in Louisville, and encourage participation in LALS co-sponsored events both on campus and in the community.
