Gold Humanism Honor Society

Adapted from the Arnold P. Gold Foundation website: The Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) is an organization started by the Arnold P. Gold foundation to recognize medical students, residents, and faculty who practice patient-centered care by modeling the qualities of integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect and empathy. The undergraduate medical education GHHS consists of 4th year medical students nominated by classmates for their dedication to humanism in medicine. The GHHS at the University of Louisville School of Medicine sponsors projects that serve community needs, encourages humanistic teachings in the medical environment, offers supportive and reflective opportunities for peers, and provides other valuable initiatives and experiences.
