We offer first and second year medical students exposure to the field of dermatology in an effort to prepare them for more intense clinical work in the third and fourth years. We meet at regular intervals and discuss the pathophysiology of dermatological disease, review cutting edge literature, and focus on the basic skill set necessary for the modern dermatologist. We provide students with an opportunity to explore careers, obtain a greater exposure to the breadth and extent of the field, identify research opportunities, develop mentoring relationships, and obtain information regarding clerkship experiences and residency programs.
