Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA)

The University of Louisville Black Faculty/Staff Association (BFSA) was founded in 2002. The purpose of this employee resource group (ERG) is to serve as a collective that supports and advocates for Black employees at the University of Louisville. The mission of the Black Faculty/Staff Association (BFSA) is “to promote unity, provide support and build community among Black faculty, staff, and students at the University of Louisville. In addition, through advocacy and collaborative efforts, BFSA exists to enhance communication and champion diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and social justice—while challenging racism—within the University, with our Black alumni and the broader Black community,” (per our Constitution & Bylaws).
