 physics which represents our present understanding of fundamental physics
 . I will describe the fundamental particles of different flavors in the s
 tandard model and discuss how they interact. I will discuss some puzzles i
 n the standard model and describe evidence beyond the standard model phy
 sics. Finally, I will discuss how flavor experiments can probe new physics
  beyond the standard model.\n\n
