DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interdisciplinary conversation on US history, pu
 blic memory, and the politics of remembering and forgetting. UofL faculty 
 will explore significant but often overlooked moments in US history and co
 nsider how historical narratives are shaped, remembered, and forgotten. A 
 second roundtable featuring the 2026–27 Bingham Faculty Fellows will exa
 mine how their research, creative work, and teaching engage questions of m
 emory studies in our current historical moment. The program concludes with
  a keynote by historian Tracy Campbell, “A Great Democracy in Action,”
  drawing on his forthcoming book to explore the history of the United Stat
 es in the late 1940s.
