DESCRIPTION:Artificial Justice imagines a near future in which artificial i
ntelligence plays an increasingly central role in the administration of ju
stice. As technology promises efficiency and impartiality, ethical dilemma
s emerge regarding accountability, bias, surveillance, and human responsib
ility. Blending science fiction with legal and political suspense, the fil
m explores the consequences of delegating fundamental social decisions to
machines. \n\n\nThe Department of Classical and Modern Languages and the
Latin American and Latino Studies Program, College of Arts and Sciences at
the University of Louisville, proudly announce the 33rd edition of the
“Reel” Latin America(n) Film Festival, a celebration that has brought
the voices of Spanish and Latin American cinema to our community for more
than three decades.\n\n\n\nThe festival’s title, “Reel,” plays on bo
th the material history of film reels and the presentation of real stories
—authentic narratives that reveal the resilience, struggles, and aspirat
ions of communities across Latin America and Spain. The 33rd edition bring
s five new features spanning Brazil, Spain, the United States, the Dominic
an Republic, and Venezuela, continuing the festival’s commitment to expl
oring shared cultural questions across the Spanish- and Portuguese-speakin
 g world.
