DESCRIPTION:The Office of Research and Innovation invites you to the Novemb
 er 2026 seminar of the Louisville Organoid Research Network. Dr. Gautam Ma
 hajan (Scientific Director, Emulate Inc.) will deliver a seminar titled: 
 “Organs-on-Chips: Microphysiological Systems for Human-Relevant Disease 
 Modeling and Drug Development.” The seminar will take place on Tuesday, 
 November 10, 2026, at 3:00 pm ET, in CTRB 123 and via Teams. \n\nSpeaker 
 Biography\n\nGautam Mahajan, PhD\nScientific Director\nEmulate Inc.\n\nGau
 tam Mahajan, PhD, leads efforts to translate organ-on-chip technology into
  drug discovery and regulatory applications. He trained at the Wyss Instit
 ute for Biologically Inspired Engineering under Donald Ingber, developing 
 first-in-field human organ-chip models. His work focuses on enabling human
 -relevant preclinical systems for pharma and agencies including the U.S. F
 ood and Drug Administration and National Institutes of Health, supporting 
 translational decision-making and broader adoption of non-animal methods.\
