DESCRIPTION:Dr. Sergey Varganov from the University of Nevada, Reno will pr
 esent a chemistry-related seminar as part of the Chemistry Department’s 
 ongoing Brown & Williamson Seminar Series.\n\nDr. Sergey Varganov is a the
 oretical and computational chemist and chemical physicist interested in mo
 lecular electronic structure and spin dynamics with applications in molecu
 lar magnetism, catalysis and astrochemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. with Pr
 of. Mark Gordon at Iowa State University and was a postdoctoral researcher
  with Prof. Peter Gill at the Australian National University and Prof. Tod
 d Martinez at Stanford University. His work has been funded by the Nationa
 l Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and the National Aeronauti
 cs and Space Administration.
