DESCRIPTION:UofL’s Tessa Withorn will present a chemistry-related seminar
  as part of the Chemistry Department’s ongoing Brown & Williamson Semina
 r Series.\n\nTessa Withorn is the Science Librarian and an Assistant Profe
 ssor at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. As a librarian, in
 structor, and researcher, she aims to empower STEM students to discover in
 formation for themselves, critically evaluate information sources and syst
 ems, and navigate the university to promote academic success and lifelong 
 learning. She also supports researchers with data management, telling stor
 ies about their research impact, and navigating the scholarly research and
  publishing landscape. Tessa has published and presented on a variety of L
 ibrary and Information Science topics including library instruction, criti
 cal information literacy, online learning, artificial intelligence, AI lit
 eracy, and research support for STEM. She is currently working on a co-edi
 ted collection of essays for Critical Perspectives on AI in Librarianship
 , to be published by Library Juice Press in 2027.
