 y into research, research into opportunity, and undergraduate experiences 
 into a foundation for future success. Join us for Research is in the Cards
 , a Homecoming celebration inviting alumni, donors, and members of the Uof
 L community to experience the impact of undergraduate research and see how
  the Libraries support students in the classroom and beyond.\n\nThroughout
  the afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to engage with students a
 nd learn about their research experiences through the inaugural Engineeri
 ng Scholars cohort, a collaborative initiative between University Librari
 es and the J.B. Speed School of Engineering made possible by generous supp
 ort from Women in Philanthropy. The program equips engineering students wi
 th leadership, communication, and networking skills and helps them articul
 ate the significance of their research, contributions, and experiences as 
 they prepare for future academic and professional opportunities. The celeb
 ration will culminate in a student Research Showcase highlighting the impa
 ct of undergraduate research and the many ways the Libraries help students
  succeed.\n\nGuests can also experience Play Your Cards Right: Developing
  Award-Winning Undergraduate Research, an interactive workshop that introd
 uces students to the research process, from asking questions and designing
  studies to communicating findings. The workshop will highlight how studen
 ts can use library resources to strengthen their research and prepare comp
 etitive applications for the donor-funded $1,000 Undergraduate Research Aw
 ard offered in the spring semester.\n\nCome celebrate the accomplishments 
 of UofL’s undergraduate researchers and see firsthand how University Lib
 raries provides the resources, mentorship, and opportunities that help Car
 dinals become confident researchers, communicators, and future leaders.
