DESCRIPTION:UofL's Sustainability Council is hosting a Repair Fair in partn
 ership with Sit n' Stitch! Repair fairs are a great opportunity for people
  to keep items out of landfills, foster a repair mindset, gain vital repai
 r skills, and to connect with a community of others passionate about repai
 r. Participants will also become more familiar with the effort that goes i
 nto the creation of their everyday items, encouraging them to become more 
 mindful consumers! By participating in repair fairs, we can all REDUCE our
  consumption--a vital part of any circular economy—which saves participa
 nts money and saves resources! We are also able to escape from our silos a
 nd connect across disciplines!\n\n\n	Participants will sign up for 30-minu
 te increments, partnering with a repairer to bring life to their used or b
 roken items. \n	Sit n' Stitch will also be holding a small fabrics repair
  class for people to practice and learn hand sewing techniques!\n	Walk-ins
  are welcome but a spot cannot be guaranteed!\n	Sign up to be a Repairer!\
 n	Sign up for repair!\n\n\nOur Goals: \n- Repair items and keep them out 
 of landfills;\n- Connect repair minded individuals from across disciplines
 ;\n- Foster community;\n- Teach repair skills; and\n- Save students, staff
