Kornhauser Library will host another diversity in healthcare discussion on November 3, 2021 at 5:00pm. This virtual event will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Vicki Hines-Martin (School of Nursing), moderator, Dr. Abbie Beacham (School of Dentistry), and panelists Holly Cunningham (KY Refugee Ministries), Kaelin Shay (UofL Hospital), and Mike Udoh (School of Medicine).

Although the concept of emotional wellbeing has gained increasing recognition as a focus for mental health promotion and disease prevention in the literature, there continues to be limited discussion of this important area in clinical practice. This session will provide an overview of wellbeing, as well as discussion of multiple threats based on current social and environmental factors and needed resources to support individual and community mental health.
