About this Event
View mapUniversity of Louisville School of Medicine is conducting a study on the perceptions and use of electronic (e-) cigarettes in young adults (18-24 years of age). We are recruiting healthy participants who either use e-cigarettes or are tobacco non-users. The study will consist of two visits, with the first taking about 4 hours, where the participant will also be fitted with at home, mobile cardiovascular equipment and asked to return the equipment about 48 hours later. You will be asked to fast from food and drink 8 hours before the visit and to not consume ANY tobacco product for 6 hours before the visit. We will ask you to bring your e-cigarette and vape for 10 minutes at the study visit. Blood and urine will be collected, and imaging of your arm will be performed to look at heart health. We will also collect information on your health, social history, and tobacco product use. Compensation is provided as a prepaid Visa card.
