USPS Passport Fair
Thinking of traveling this fall? Want to get out and see the world, or just travel elsewhere for the holidays?
Beginning October 10, 2018 travelers will no longer be able to board a plane with a Kentucky drivers license. Passengers with IDs from states that aren't compliant with the REAL ID ACT, such as Kentucky, travelers must show an alternative form of identification. Rather than your driver's license or state-issued identification card, you could use a valid passport, passport card, permanent resident card or U.S. Department of Defense ID. The Transportation Security Administration's website has a complete list of acceptable IDs.
To help travelers obtain a passport or passport card, the Office of Study Abroad and International Travel will partner with the Post Office to offer passport application completion on campus.
Attendees will need to bring 2 passport sized photos (available at the Cardinal Card Office, basement of the Houchens Building); proof of U.S. Citizenship (Birth certificate); ID (drivers license); Photocopies of documents; payment: Passport book: $135; passport book and card $165. So, whether you are looking to travel the world or the nation, this event is for you, your family, and friends.
