Eating disorders are the deadliest of any mental illness. Although the stereotype is a teen girl, “the reality is that eating disorders affect all ages, ethnicities and gender… and plays into why people don’t get help,” says Dr. Cheri Levinson. She is Assistant Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences and Director of the new EAT (Eating Anxiety Treatment) Lab and Clinic and will discuss her ongoing research to develop novel interventions to better understand and treat eating disorders.
