The McConnell Center’s 30-day intensive Strategic Broadening Seminar for the U.S. Army is held at the University of Louisville.

This leadership development program provides participants an "up close and personal" view of the national security process in Washington, D.C., as well as the intellectual traditions of political philosophy and constitutional government. Soldiers are also afforded the opportunity to immerse themselves in the challenges unfolding in the Asia Pacific region.

Guest faculty come from all over the United States. Past classes have met with top members of Congress, local political leaders and Fortune 500 corporate leaders. The capstone experience is provided in small team assignments and a briefing for high-level national security leadership.

Participants are housed at one of Louisville’s most iconic downtown hotels, allowing them to continue conversations at museums, restaurants, and along the beautiful waterfront of the Ohio River.

For media requests, please contact McConnell Center Director Gary Gregg.
