The University of Louisville’s Center for Geographic Information Sciences invites you to join us for our annual GIS Day celebration on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, on UofL's Belknap Campus in the Swain Student Activities Center Ballrooms. With our theme of "Inspiring Spatial Citizens," we are excited to feature speakers from across sectors working to leverage GIS for the growth and betterment of our communities!  

The schedule for Wednesday, November 16th at the Swain Student Activities Center Ballrooms is as follows- 

  • 9 AM – 12 PM Welcome, Featured Speakers, Geoinquiry and Education 2892 Panels 
    • 9:30-10 AM Andrew McKinney, ’08, Data Officer, Louisville Metro Government 
    • 10 AM- 10:30 AM Ashley Hitt, GISP, Vice President, GeoAnalytics and Ashley Patterson, ’19, Senior Geospatial Technician at Connected Nation 
    • Break 
    • 10:45 AM – 12:30 PM Panel Discussion moderated by Shannon Bartlett of National Geographic, featuring 2892 Project Storytellers from across the U.S.  
  • 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Refreshments and Lunch, Map Gallery, Resource Fair 
  • 1:30 PM – 4 PM GeoInquiry Showcase from Jefferson County Public Schools 2892 Classrooms
