An informal dialogue with Suzanne Kingery, M.D., (she/her)                          Presented by the LGBT Center and Office of Diversity & Inclusion, University of Louisville, Health Sciences Center

This informal, virtual, discussion will offer an overview of the recently passed KY Senate Bill 150 (SB150). Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions via the registration form and during the presentation.

 

Topics May Include:

· A synopsis of KY Senate Bill 150.

· The overall impact of SB150 on gender affirming healthcare.

· Implications for Trans/Non-Binary/Gender Diverse youth and their families.

· What current and future healthcare providers need to know about the legislation.

· Questions submitted by participants.

Brief Biosketch: Suzanne E. Kingery, M.D. (she, her), is a pediatric endocrinologist with Norton Children’s  Endocrinology affiliated with UofL School of Medicine. She has an active interest in medical education directing the pediatric endocrinology fellowship program and serving as the course director for Human Systems in Health and Disease (HSHD) for second year undergraduate medical students in the School of Medicine.    Dr. Kingery has a strong professional interest in improving the care and quality of life of gender diverse, nonbinary and transgender youth and currently directs the Pediatric and Adolescent Gender Education (PAGE) program at Norton Children’s Endocrinology.
