About this Event
The Anne Braden Institute is "building the bridge between research and community activism” in a virtual Black History Month lecture with Dr. Jarvis Givens of Harvard University. This lecture follows his 2021 book release of Fugitive Pedagogy: Carter G. Woodson and the Art of Black Teaching. How have/are African American educators using fugitive pedagogy as a form of resistance? Current and future educators are highly encouraged to attend!
