With the support of Horse Racing Nation, the UofL Equine Industry Program will present a free fall industry speaker series focusing on the most current topics in the horse racing industry.  

The initial panel of the series will delve into the business of racetrack surfaces and what steps are taken to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the horse.  Jim Mulvihill, Sr. Director of Betting Information at Churchill Downs, will moderate the following panel of experts:

• Mick Peterson, PhD, Director of UK Equine Programs
• Jamie Richardson, Churchill Downs Track Superintendent
• Michael Dickinson, trainer and creator of Tapeta Footings synthetic surfaces
