The Jewish Studies Program of UofL and Congregation Adath Jeshurun present the 2024 Naamani Memorial Lecture:
Nancy E. Berg: "Exile and the Jews: Literature, History, and Identity"
Dr. Nancy E. Berg is professor of Hebrew and comparative literature at Washington University in St. Louis. She is the author and editor of several books, including her new book, Exile and the Jews: Literature, History, and Identity, which will be the topic of this lecture. There will be a book signing and reception afterward.
The Naamani Memorial Lecture Series was established in 1979 to honor the memory of Professor Israel T. Naamani, admired scholar and teacher at the University of Louisville, and beloved Jewish community member.
