The UofL Center for Asian Democracy presents an Asia in Focus talk:
“Russia's Interaction with U.S. and China in Northeast Asia: Limitations and Possibilities” by Dr. Andrei Golobokov, Visiting Fulbright Scholar, University of Louisville & Associate Professor, Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service
This talk explores the extent to which interactions achieved between Russia, U.S., and China displays the level of political partnership between the states in prevention of dominance in the regional system of one state or a group of states. This is also aimed to better maintain the regional order and security cooperation between states. Some security components of Russian regional diplomacy aimed at demonstrating Russia’s physical presence in North-East Asia and the capabilities vis-à-vis regional security threats are revealed.
