Tai Chi for Beginners Class at the UofL Trager Institute & Republic Bank Foundation Optimal Aging Clinic

Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese martial art with origins dating back hundreds of years. Today, Tai Chi is often practiced by people all over the world for its wide-ranging health benefits. In this interactive class, we will introduce the basic concepts and postures of Yang Family Tai Chi. This course is ideal for individuals who are relatively new to the practice of Tai Chi. If you have never done Tai Chi before, we recommend starting with our Introductory Tai Chi class first! In our weekly Tai Chi for Beginners class, we will focus on body alignment, breathing and relaxation as we learn the 16 Movement form and related exercises. All ages and abilities are welcome to join this course! Modifications can easily be made for individuals who have mobility restrictions.
