Join the UofL Sustainability Council for our Spring Sustainability Roundtable series on alternate Tuesdays from 4:00-4:50pm (1/18, 2/1, 2/15, 3/1, 3/29, 4/12). No pre-registration is required.
All UofL faculty, staff, and students and members of the broader public interested in research related to sustainability are encouraged to join us for an on-going series of Sustainability Roundtables.
The purpose is to expand each other's horizons and to build capacity and connections for interdisciplinary sustainability research. We achieve this by gathering to share research interests, goals, and projects; hear from sustainability practitioners and those in government; have roundtable discussions about sustainability research; and discuss specific sustainability topics of common interest.
We gather every other week during the fall and spring to explore various sustainability challenges, methods for investigating them, and potential solutions. Our Roundtables are open to those from all disciplines, practitioners, and the public at large. Please join us!
The format is a 30-40 minute presentation from a variety of speakers throughout the year, followed by 20-30 minutes of open discussion. Anyone with an interest in sustainability can give talks at the speaker series and participate in the audience, including faculty, staff, students, practitioners, teachers, government officials, and members of the public.
If you would like to give a presentation, or would like to hear a particular speaker, please contact Tamara Sluss.
