Student Affairs Winter Institute
Winter Leadership Institute will take place on Tuesday, December 3 from 9:00am – 1:00pm on the University of Louisville Belknap Campus.
This year's event will feature three independent educational sessions. Participants may attend all three sessions or choose the sessions that interest them the most.
The event begins at 9:00am in Shumaker Research Building, room 139. The following is a list of activities.
[9:00-10:00am] Service Animals and Emotional Support Animals – A panel discussion about service animals and emotional support animals. The panel will address frequently asked questions about service animals and the Americans with Disabilities Act.[10:15-11:45am] Question, Persuade and Refer Training – Learn the 3 simple steps to help save a life from suicide.[12:00-1:00pm] Lighting Round Topics – Three short presentations focused on the actions associated with the University’s strategic plan to become a great place to learn, to work, and to invest. A program lunch will be provided during the last session in Shumaker 139.
During the event, the Diversity Committee will be conducting a service project to build warm kits for those in need. Please consider stopping by to help build a kit or two.
Winter Leadership Institute is a free event supported by the Division of Student Affairs, the Professional Development Committee and the Diversity Committee.
