Canceled: The Max and Drew Show features work by artists Max Trumpower and Drew Scanlon. This exhibition showcases their work in conversation, exploring the ways in which two artists have the capacity to influence one another. As best friends and roommates, they have ample opportunities to discuss not only what they are making, but also share influences, and overall provide mutual mentorship to one another. In this open dialogue, The Max and Drew Show touches on the expansive topics that intimate relationships allow. For the past two years, they have had the ability to experience life with each other, from sending silly instagram reels, to crying about the pain of heartache. By exhibiting their work together, Max and Drew are expanding their intimate relationship outwards, showcasing how the mundane becomes extraordinary when we make an agreement to witness the idiosyncrasies of someone that we love. Max and Drew are now parting ways, and we know that you hate to see your problematic favs split, but this exhibition invites those who enter the space to participate in a celebration of their Cancelation™ anyway.
