Since 1978, Chemistry graduate students have been organizing the yearly Derby Lecture, planned to coincide with the Kentucky Derby. This year we'll host a two-time Nobel laureate for the first time: Dr. Barry Sharpless, recipient of the 2001 and 2022 Nobel Prizes in Chemistry.

Dr. Sharpless will be giving two presentations, a technical and a general lecture at the Rauch Planetarium:
