Reading the Constitution in 2018: One Document, Two Visions
The McConnell Center at the University of Louisville will host its annual Constitution Day debate Sept. 14 at 6 pm in Ekstrom Library’s Chao Auditorium.
Colin Crawford, dean of the Brandeis School of Law, will moderate “Reading the Constitution in 2018: One Document, Two Visions.”
The debate features Lee Strang, the John W. Stoepler Professor of Law & Values at the University of Toledo College of Law, and Josh Douglas, the Thomas P. Lewis Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky College of Law. Strang will speak on behalf of the Federalist Society, and Douglas will speak on behalf of the American Constitution Society.
The center’s Constitution Day activities help honor the signing of the U.S. Constitution.
