Rabbi Susan Goldberg speaks on “In the Wilderness (B’midbar): The Spiritual Journey of ‘Transparent’.”

The phenomenal Amazon series, “Transparent,” is now in its 4th season, much of which is set in Israel. Rabbi Susan Goldberg counseled the series' writer and director Jill Soloway during her father’s gender transition and serves as script advisor on every episode. She has been the rabbi of Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles since 2013. A fourth-generation Angeleno, she is dedicated to renewing LA’s east-side Jewish community to help it once again be an active part of the multicultural beauty of these neighborhoods.

This event will include a screening and discussion of an episode of the series.
