About this Event
Journaling offers a number of possibilities for graduate students – from research related purposes like collecting research ideas and documenting methodology and thinking, to personal and professional development like reflection and venting, to stress management. Come learn effective strategies journaling for stress resilience.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will understand the benefits of journaling Participants will practice various types of journaling to increase resiliency when facing life’s challenges
Presenter Bio:
Jenna Orwick received her MPH with a concentration in Health Behavior & Promotion from the University of Louisville. She currently works in the Health Promotion Office, a division of Campus Health Services. As a coordinator at the UofL Health Promotion Office she works with UofL students on ways to improve their overall health and wellbeing. Specifically, she oversees the Fitness & Movement, Sleeping & Napping, and Stress Resilience services and programs that Health Promotion offers! Additionally, she is a Yoga Instructor and a Koru Mindfulness Teacher and uses this expertise to teach UofL students about the benefits of mindfulness and meditation and how to incorporate this in their daily lives to increase with resilience and overall wellbeing.
