http://louisville.edu/graduate/planDescription. In “What GTAs Need to Know About Blackboard” students will learn the essential functions of Blackboard. The 75 minute course will cover basic functionality such as login, navigation, and document uploads and will also cover the Control Panel, in particular the basics of Blackboard’s Grade Center. This is a must for any GTA who will be grading and/or teaching using Blackboard.
Learning Outcomes. As a result of this session, participants will be able to:
1. The student will be able to successfully navigate in a Blackboard course
2. The student will be able to grade assignments within the Grade Center
3. The student will be able to demonstrate his ability to load a file or document into Blackboard
4. The student will be able to identify and use the functions within the Control Panel
Presenter. Aimee Greene, M.S., is assistant director for Instructional Design and Technology at the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning. Aimee has a B.S. in Special Education and a M.S. in Instructional Technology both from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Aimee combines her previous instructional design, project management and facilitation experience to the design, development, implementation and evaluation of web-based instruction. She collaborates with subject-matter experts to define content and develop online courses for the Delphi Center. Aimee also has experience in face-to-face and online course delivery facilitation as a faculty member in the Education Department at the University of North Carolina.
