DESCRIPTION:Description. Writing for publication can feel like a challenge 
 for graduate students\, yet is a vital part of their professional developme
 nt. This workshop will cover the process of writing for publication. We wil
 l discuss the differences in writing for graduate courses and for publicati
 on\, as well as approaches for turning research and seminar papers in to jo
 urnal articles and conference presentations. We will also discuss the pract
 ical concerns of writing for publication\, such as identifying an appropria
 te publication for your work\, responding to reviewer comments\, and revisi
 ng your work for publication. This workshop will focus on writing in the hu
 manities and social sciences.\n\nLearning Outcomes. As a result of this ses
 sion\, participants will be able to: \n\n1. Gain a greater understanding of
  the process of submitting work for publication.\n\n2. Learn strategies for
  turning coursework into research publications.\n\n3. Learn strategies for
