  Boehm is a Professor in English\, the Dean of the Graduate School\, and th
 e Vice Provost for Graduate Affairs. She has served in a variety of adminis
 trative and academic roles at the University of Louisville\, including as E
 xecutive Vice President and University Provost\, from 2018-2021.  Other adm
 inistrative appointments include director of undergraduate studies in Engli
 sh\, director of graduate studies in the Department of English\, as vice ch
 air of English\, as vice chair and chair of the faculty senate\, and as ass
 ociate provost for faculty affairs\, before becoming Interim Dean of the Gr
 aduate School in 2009 and permanent Dean in 2012. Boehm was twice awarded t
 he College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award and was select
 ed as a University Distinguished Teaching Professor in 2003.  In 2009\, she
  was awarded for her distinguished service by both the college and the univ
 ersity. Her recent research has focused on issues in graduate education suc
 h as mentoring\, reimagining the dissertation\, community engagement in gra
 duate education\, masters education\, and holistic admissions\; her researc
 h areas in English studies include narrative and rhetorical theory\,  and t
 wentieth-century literature\, particularly experimental literature.\n\nMich
 elle Rodems\, Ph.D.\, is director of professional development\, retention\,
  and success in the Graduate School. Dr. Rodems directs interdisciplinary s
 tudent success efforts for more than 4\,000 University of Louisville gradua
 te students\, including coordinating the nationally recognized PLAN profess
 ional development academies\, workshops\, and learning communities. Her res
 earch and professional interests include teaching\, learning\, and mentorin
 g in higher education\, graduate student development and education\, and pr
 ofessional development in higher education. Dr. Rodems joined the Universit
 y of Louisville in 2011 after completing her doctoral degree in Higher Educ
 ation Administration from Bowling Green State University.\n\nAbout the Work
 shop:\n\nAre you preparing materials to go on the market this spring? This 
 workshop is designed to demystify the process\, and to address the specific
  needs and questions of those from both the sciences and humanities who are
  embarking on this exciting (if a little scary!) part of the graduate stude
 nt experience. Though the job search can be a daunting process for students
  still in the midst of research and teaching obligations\, this workshop is
  a resource to support you in this effort\, to help you identify and effect
 ively present yourself as a candidate to the academic job of your future.\n
