The College of Business will host a FREE MBA for a Day event, a single-day session providing prospective students with a condensed version of the MBA experience. Each participant can choose one day from the following options:

• September 9, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
• November 4, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
• November 11, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

What does this mean for you? The MBA for a Day event will offer a glimpse into the curriculum, teaching methodologies, professional development, and networking opportunities you would typically encounter throughout your MBA program at UofL.

The MBA for a Day experience is part of the program’s Professional Development Module (PDM) course for Professional, Innovation, and Full-Time MBA programs. It features a specific aspect of business education – foundational principles of negotiations. During this PDM, participants will engage in interactive sessions, simulations, and small group exercises led by Lt. Col. Shawn Dawley, USAF (Ret.), industry expert.

An MBA graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Dawley holds extensive military knowledge regarding negotiation methods and understands the impact of an MBA degree from both a military and civilian perspective. As a former Inspector General for the U.S. Air Force, Harvard University Fellow, and current president of OT2 Consulting, Dawley’s diverse professional and academic experiences provide a wealth of knowledge for students wishing to better their negotiation skills as they navigate the business world.

Space is limited for each event date. Lunch is provided, and those who attend will be considered for merit-based scholarships upon completing an MBA application.
