Documentary: When MIT Media Lab researcher Joy Buolamwini discovers that facial recognition does not see dark-skinned faces accurately, she embarks on a journey to push for the first-ever U.S. legislation against bias in algorithms that impact us all.
You are invited to join us on Wednesday, June 18th at the Juneteenth Art Journaling Workshop.

Join us to make Juneteenth themed art journals. Participants will start the process of creating an art journal using cultural and historical elements such as quotes or oral histories. Feel free to bring photos and even family keepsakes to personalize your journal. The workshop will focus on the use of recycled and new materials for creating journal pages. Attendees will leave with information on the benefits of journaling and journal making as well as the structure for the journal that can be used and expanded over time.
