This talk by UofL alumnus and media professional Michael J. Oghia will draw on nearly a decade of experience with media, conflict resolution, and Internet policy across Lebanon, India, Turkey, and Serbia to explain how the Internet is governed. He will also offer insights into how journalists and the media development community are working to influence Internet policy.
Michael is a Belgrade, Serbia-based consultant, researcher, and editor working within the Internet governance and media development ecosystems. He is currently the communications manager and advisor on Internet governance for the Global Forum for Media Development (GFMD).
