On Sept. 7 and Nov. 2, we are conducting hands-only CPR training at the Kosair Clinical Translational Research Building from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. University employees, students, and friends of UofL have the opportunity to sign-up for 30-minute training sessions.
When a person has a cardiac arrest, survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby. According to the American Heart Association, about 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, specially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.
