The Gray Street Farmers Market (GSFM) is an outreach program that the UofL School of Public Health and Information Sciences has operated since 2009.

This season the GSFM is open every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. –  1:30 p.m., through Oct. 26, thanks to our partnership with Common Earth Gardens.

The market sets up in the parking lot at the corner of S. Jackson and E. Gray Street, which is across the street from the School of Public Health and Information Sciences building on UofL’s Health Sciences Center.

The primary goal of the Gray Street Farmers Market is to increase access to fresh, locally grown food in the downtown area. We operate several programs to expand access and make nutritious food more affordable to our community including the Kentucky Double Dollars program, FreshRx, and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.

We have three farmers bringing fresh, locally grown produce to the market weekly. In addition to fresh produce, you can grab lunch and other prepared foods while visiting the market such as granla, bread, jam, pickles and more. We work with the Louisville Food Truck Association to schedule two food trucks each week and have lunch tents set up at the market so customers can sit and enjoy their food outside.

Find out what are vendors are brining each week by subscribing to our weekly newsletter. To subscribe, email farmersmarket@louisville.edu and include “subscribe” in the subject line.
