Provides information on the physical and health hazards of chemicals, fume hoods, personal protective equipment, emergency procedures and the OSHA Lab Standard. It also provides information about the basics of complying with both the hazardous waste regulations and infectious waste management requirements; and instructs university personnel in the proper procedures for preparing both types of waste for pick-up and disposal. The training will also provide guidance for completing a Hazardous Waste Pick-Up Request to DEHS.
