Student Research Showcase in honor of Adam Smith's 300th birthday. A poster session featuring student presentations on Smith's Wealth of Nations, Theory of Moral Sentiments, and Lectures on Jurisprudence. In addition to being a founder of modern Economics, Smith was a leading philosopher of the Scottish Enlightenment and had surprisingly enlightened views on colonialism, slavery, value, sympathy, morality, and trade compared to most of his contemporaries. Light refreshments provided.
