New York Times bestselling author Dani Shapiro will discuss writing, the writers’ life and her new  book “Inheritance: A Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity, and Love” on Wednesday, September 25th from 12 – 1 p.m. in Chao Auditorium. Shapiro will be in Louisville for UofL’s  Kentucky Author Forum  that night.

 

Creative Writing professor Ian Stansel will lead the free, public Q and A session with Shapiro whose work spans diverse subjects from her tumultuous upbringing in an Orthodox Jewish community to her explorations of spirituality and the nature of our deepest relationships. Dani’s essays and journalistic pieces have appeared in numerous publications including The New YorkerSalonn+1Tin House, and Vogue, and have been widely anthologized. She contributes regularly to The New York Times Book Review and has been broadcast on This American Life.
