Let’s Talk! The Commission on Diversity and Racial Equity (CODRE) and The commission on the Status of Women (COSW) want to hear from the UofL Campus Community. CODRE and COSW are cohosting this Campus-wide Listening Sessions to provide opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to engage in discussion on topics relevant to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.

Our next session is March 23, 12:00 to 1:30, Teams. “Supporting Caregiving Employees at UofL”

Gendered and racialized division of work extends beyond the walls of campus, and has been given an added spotlight since the beginning of COVID. One area of significant gendered labor that disproportionately impacts women and femmes is in caregiving responsibilities, inclusive of children, parents, or extended community members. Beyond remote and flexible work, there remains a number of opportunities and ideas to support employees in meaningful, efficient and productive work.

In this listening session, the UofL community is invited to share their concerns, thoughts and ideas about how to make the most of employee caregivers’ unique talents, strengths, and skills.
