CIEHS & Pharm Tox Dept EHS Seminar with Special Guest Koren Mann, Ph.D.
Please join the Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences (CIEHS) and the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology on March 16, 2023 at 11 AM ET for the next Environmental Health Science series seminar with special guest speaker, Dr. Koren Mann. Seminar entitled “Mechanisms of arsenic-enhanced atherosclerosis."
Dr. Mann is a Professor & Chair in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her laboratory researches the environmental health effects of metals, in particular, the toxic effects of arsenic and tungsten on the immune system and how this can lead to different pathologies. Currently, Dr. Mann leads projects including investigating arsenic-induced atherosclerosis and the effect of tungsten on bone and B lymphocytes.
